Kieran O’Malley from DNR is having an upcoming open house being held on the State Wildlife Action Plan. Kieran has been a dedicated instructor in the Master Naturalist program and and for the Master Gardeners and has been involved in putting this document together. He is inviting members of Master Gardner organizations, the PVAS Master Naturalists, and Eastern Panhandle watershed associations to this open house on June 16 at James Rumsey Technical Institute to learn about the State Wildlife Action Plan. The draft will be released in the next few days and will be presented to the public for comments and input. The meeting will be in Room B1 from 6-8 p.m. I believe he spoke of this plan when he attended the watershed meeting back in March.
Public input is needed and I think it would be good to show some support for Kieran, we’re all invited, so let’s see SCWA well represented!
